House Work

We have been busting a serious move to get this house ready for the market, it is looking great! Since last Wednesday, we have had a new air conditioner and furnace installed, new interior doors installed, and Mike and Jeremy have painted just about every square inch of this place. We (I use the word We pretty loosly, it was really Mike and Jeremy) also cleaned out the garage, and, with Jon's help, we moved out some excess furniture and put it into storage. Right about now, I am wishing that our little family was relaxing on a beautiful beach somewhere far away. I just hope that the current owners of our future house in Orange County are working as hard as we are to get their house ready for us. The thought of having to do any work to another house makes me want to scream. It is pretty exciting to day dream about what our new house may look like.... and even more exciting to dream about getting out of San Jose. Yeah! I will post pictures of how great the house looks when all of...

The Third Wheel

That's what I am these days...Mike is officially Joel's hero. During the day (when Mike is at work), Joel walks around aimlessly, looking for "Dadda?". When Mike gets home in the evening, all of the whining and crying subsides (unless, God forbid, Dadda walks away for a second). It is quite heartwarming, and I know that Mike feels the same way about Joel.

The threat is over... after all of your fantastic comments and phone calls, I can rest assured that this blog is being read and enjoyed, thank you everyone! Sometimes a girl needs a little reassurance. Below are some fun pictures that we took over the weekend, enjoy! Nothing is better than having family around, that is for sure!

I'm Back!

After quite a long break from blogging, I am back! But I don't even know if anyone missed me.... whenever I blog, I usually only receive 1 comment, and that comment is from my awesome friend, Lisa. Let me tell you about comments- they let me know that you are reading this thing!! If I don't get more than 2 comments on this post, I will probably shut it down for good.... this isn't a threat, it's a promise! What I have been doing during my absence of blogging: - The day after memorial day, my father in law passed away suddenly. It has been a really tough time for the family, and we spent about two weeks in Southern California with my sister and mother in law. We are looking forward to going back down in a couple of weeks. - Joel is walking.... he is so awesome! He is the person who has really gotton us through the last couple of weeks. I can't believe that he is MINE! - We are finally moving back to Orange County, I am so excited! We are going to put our hous...

Happy First Birthday, Joel!

I can't believe that my baby is turning 1 year old tomorrow! We had Joel's first birthday party this past Sunday and we had a blast! So many of our close friends and family came to share Joel's special day with us, thank you everyone, we love you all. We are headed down to Southern Cali tomorrow to continue the festivities with grandparents and aunts and uncles. I think that May is going to officially become Joel's birthday month. As it should be for a first born, I am sure! It has been an AMAZING first year, I am so greatful that the Lord has blessed our family with such a wonderful son. It's a good life, and I have a feeling that it is only going to get better!

Hip, Hip, Hooray!!

My brother, Jon, is graduating in June (oh my gosh, that is next month) and we just found out last night that he GOT A JOB! He is going to be working in San Jose as a financial planner. YEAH! We are so proud of him, he has worked so hard, and deserves all of the success that he will achieve. Not to mention that my evil plan to keep Jon in Northern California with me is working.... now I just need to start focusing on the rest of our family... ha ha ha!

He Won't Stop!

Joel is standing up on his own now! He uses Cody as his "standing stool", and then lets go and will stand there for several seconds in a row before he gracefully lands on his cute little bootie. Watching him reach these milestones are both so adorable AND fulfilling! I love it! Yeah for Joel (and Cody for being such a good sport)!
